Wix Code is an innovative new product that lets you build robust web applications with all of the stunning visual features of the Wix Editor.

Wix Code Features

Wix Code adds the following features to the Wix Editor:

  • Database Collections. Database collections enable you to store data that you want to use in your site. The data you store can be content you want to display on your site or information that a user provides.

  • Connecting Data. You can connect elements on your page to database collections. This allows you to display the contents of collections on your site pages or capture user input and store it in collections.

  • User Input Elements. User Input elements allow your users to enter data into elements on your site. You can then store that data in a database collection. You can also allow users to make selections on a page that you can use to filter or sort the displayed data.

  • Dynamic Pages. A dynamic page is a page you design once with one layout that is used over and over again, each time displaying a different item, or items, from your database collection.

  • Coding. You can add your own JavaScript code to a Wix site and work with our APIs to add custom functionality and interactions to your site.
